Dr. Boatman earned his dental degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 1987, completed a general practice residency at St. Mary's Hospital, and opened his Troy practice in January 1989, moving to Edwardsville Road in 1999. He is an Invisalign preferred provider, certified in IV and oral sedation, and trained on the Yomi robot for guided implant surgery.
Dr. Spencer, a Case Western Reserve University graduate with 19 years of experience, holds an IV sedation permit from the University of Illinois at Chicago, implant training from the Zimmer Institute, advanced bone-grafting training, and TeethXpress® certification through BioHorizons. Both doctors have been named to St. Louis Magazine's Top Dentists list for multiple consecutive years.

Yes. Both Dr. Boatman and Dr. Spencer are certified in IV and oral sedation. With IV sedation you breathe on your own, rest through the procedure, and wake up with little memory of it. A licensed driver needs to take you home afterward.
